About

What is Minecraft?

Minecraft is an award winning sandbox game originally developed by Markus "Notch" Persson in 2009. We started this site with one goal in mind: to let people who can't afford Minecraft to play the game for free. Even Notch himself asked potential Minecraft players to pirate the game if they were unable to afford it.

Why Do People Play?

Although the graphics, music, and atmosphere of the game looks as if it was designed for children in the 90s, the game is actually suitable for all ages. You'd think Minecraft is just a simple building game with blocks like Legos, but that is far from the truth. Sure, you could make something cool like a 1:1 scale of the Eiffel Tower or even Denmark, but its developers included logic based blocks, allowing players to perform computations, create 3D printers, computer systems, pianos, and more.

In addition to exploring your creativity, Minecraft also allows you to fully customize your gaming experience by providing an SDK for mods, maps, skins, texture packs, tools, and more. This means you can create an MMO, FPS, MOBA, or anything you want inside of Minecraft. For example, you can play the popular FPS games Counter-Strike or Team Fortress Classic or movie based ones like Hunger Games and Maze Runner.

How Can I Play?
